Ana Sofia Varela

A fado singer with a singular voice and a striking presence, Ana Sofia Varela returns to the stage with a new work that celebrates both women and the Portuguese guitar.

In this concert at the Centro Cultural de Belém, the artist invites the audience to reconnect with her roots and the sounds that have shaped her artistic journey — now revisited through the lens of a new artistic maturity. The performance will feature several guest musicians who also appear on her upcoming album — a record of original songs and a few traditional fados, presented with arrangements that blend delicacy and boldness, memory and discovery.

Alongside these new compositions, Ana Sofia Varela will also revisit some of the songs that earned her recognition, in a setlist that reaffirms her significance in the landscape of contemporary fado and the emotional depth she consistently brings to the stage.
