At the age of only 16, when she was preparing to pursue a career in fashion at an international festival, Maura won the Top Talent prize for her interpretation of a fado song, which she performed before a jury made up of delegates from sixty countries. Since then she has been gaining the kind of experience that only traditional fado venues can instil, and has appeared at major events such as the Morocco Fado Festival and the NOS Alive Festival. She was the recipient of the Revelation Award at the 2016 Festival Caixa Alfama. Despite her tender years, Maura exudes a force and magnetism that are impossible to miss.
