Inês de Vasconcellos live at the Fado Museum

Amplexo is the debut album of Inês de Vasconcellos, one of the most awaited novelties in the panorama of Fado, which will be presented at the Fado Museum.

Produced by Ricardo Cruz (responsible for the production of dozens of highly successful albums in the careers of António Zambujo, Ana Moura or Cristina Branco) and edited by the Fado Museum, this disc has 11 original themes of unusual and lyrical and musical richness. In Amplexo, Inês de Vasconcellos gave voice to the words of authors such as Vasco Graça Moura, Maria do Rosário Pedreira, Capicua or Fernando Pinto do Amaral (among others) and compositions by masters such as Mário Pacheco, Tiago Machado, Ricardo Cruz or Edu Mundo. In addition to these, the disc also has the collaboration of compelling authors such as Rogério Charraz, Valter Rolo or Flávio Gil. It should also be noted that Inês de Vasconcellos herself signs the lyrics for Olhar and the music of Fado do Desespero.

This concert will be based mainly on the themes of Amplexo, as well as on some classics from the Fado repertoire to which Inês de Vasconcellos lends her very particular “style”.

Amplexo is an embrace that embraces the world of Fado in its various shades, but where the various influences that Inês received throughout her musical journey can also fit. Her debut album transports us to the most ethereal and aesthetic in music, without losing contact with the deepest roots of Fado.
