As Cordas de Amália

The Fado Museum hosted on May 27, 2010 the screening of “As Cordas de Amália”, a documentary produced by Terra Líquida Filmes for RTP2.

The session was presented by journalist Paula Moura Pinheiro and attended Raul Nery, Joel Pina and Ricardo Rocha, representing the grandfather Fontes Rocha.

 

 

“As Cordas de Amália” focuses on musicians who followed Amalia Rodrigues over several years. Met Raul Nery, Fontes Rocha and Joel Pina Clube de Fado in Lisbon and recalled the glorious years when they played together in the Conjunto de Guitarras Raul Nery.

 

The Conjunto de Guitarras Raul Nery – Raul Nery in the first guitar, Fontes Rocha in the second Guitar, Julio Gomes viola and bass Joel Pina - was formed in 1959 at the invitation of the Emissora Nacional (national radio station) and traveled frequently to the islands of Madeira and the Azores, Africa and Brazil.
