(N. 12 April, 1984)

Lina Cardoso Rodrigues was born in Germany on April 12, 1984. She started to sing in Porto, in the Porto Opera Circle.

In Lina Rodrigues' childhood, her vocal and interpretive abilities took on great prominence when, at just 10 years old, she was the protagonist of the opera by Gian Carlo Menotti "Amahal and the Visitors of the Night".

Later, and still in the Porto Opera Circle, Lina Rodrigues also participated in the operas "Carmen", "L'Elixir d'Amore" and "La Bohéme".

At the age of 15 she started the Singing Course at the Conservatory of Music in Porto, seeking to combine her studies with her natural and proven vocation.

In 2005 Lina Rodrigues is invited by Filipe la Feria to star in the role of Amália Rodrigues in the musical "Amália", where she can demonstrate her taste and passion for fado. Subsequently she takes the stage in a new production by La Feria, "A Canção de Lisboa", where she reveals herself in the role of Beatriz Costa.

Fado becomes a constant in her growth as an interpreter. Her talent does not go unnoticed by Mário Pacheco who invited her to the cast of his house, the Clube de Fado.

Also by the hand of the renowned guitarist Mário Pacheco, Lina Rodrigues makes her debut on international stages, in a show in Warsaw. Several performancesfollowed, including countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, the United States and Belgium.

In 2009 Lina Rodrigues integrated the program presented by the Fado Museum in the thematic cruise held in partnership with CIC International Cruises. Lina Rodrigues gave voice to themes composed by Frederico Valério in a show coordinated by José Pracana. In the following year, the fado singer will perform again in the new edition of this cruise, but this time to interpret, in addition to the themes of Frederico Valério, fados composed by João Nobre, Frederico de Freitas and Raul Ferrão.

In 2011, the film "The Consul of Bordeaux" was released in Brussels, directed by Francisco Manso and João Correa. Lina Rodrigues interprets three themes with music by Henri Seroka, presenting one of her lyrics. This is a Portuguese production that generates great expectations, since the argument is built around the actions of the diplomat Aristides de Sousa Mendes and the interpretations are in charge of great names of national cinema such as Vitor Norte, Carlos Paulo or Leonor Seixas.

She already has two recorded albums - Carolina (2014) and EnCantado (2017) - and also collaborates with the Catalan musician Räul "Refree" in a project that pays tribute to Amália Rodrigues.
